Dr. Parque grew up in Northeastern California in the small town of Susanville. After high school, he then moved to Spokane, Washington, where he attended Gonzaga University. Dr. Parque completed his dental school training at the University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit, Michigan and had a special interest in surgical training completing the Periodontics Clerkship and Advanced Oral Surgery Clinical Elective programs. Following the completion of his dental training, Dr. Parque completed a General Practice Residency Program at Swedish Medical Center with special focus on advanced oral surgical procedures, sedation dentistry, care for dental phobic patients, and management of medically complex patients. During his residency training he also obtained Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification as well as his Intravenous Moderate Conscious Sedation Permit in Washington state.
Following the completion of his residency training, he worked in private practice and also served as an attending dentist within the Swedish residency program. In 2022 he became the assistant director of the Swedish Medical Center GPR program, where he served until the end of 2024. In this capacity he provided hands-on and didactic training for GPR residents in all areas of dentistry including intravenous sedation, advanced oral surgical procedure, restorative dentistry, and management of medically complex patients.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities within the Swedish Residency program, Dr. Parque also serves as the director of the Washington Academy of General Dentistry Surgical Extraction hands-on course, located in Seatac, WA. He has served as the director of this course for the past four years where he has provided training to dentists from all around the country. He is also on the board of directors for the Washington Academy of General Dentistry and recently earned distinction as a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD).
